London ‘uncaptive minds’ forums on capitalism and the working class today

The second series of our London ‘uncaptive minds’ forums is about “capitalism and the working class today”, looking at issues such as the financial climate, globalisation and imperialism, casualisation and the transformation of the workforce.

The next meeting is on Wednesday July 8th. Andrew Kliman will be speaking on the causes and implications of the economic crisis in a forum jointly hosted with Hobgoblin journal. It takes place from 8pm at the Lucas Arms, Grays Inn Road, near King’s Cross.

London reading group on the ‘idea of communism from below’

Through the first half of 2009 we are holding reading group meetings in London every three weeks, with the texts focussing on different conceptions of communism and the organisational forms needed to get there. Click here to see the full list of dates, subjects and texts.
