2-3:30pm on Saturday 19th June, part of the Beyond Resistance day school
The coming cuts pose a major challenge to the workers’ movement. We can expect public sector pay freezes and mass redundancies.
However, the ruling class onslaught will not only be in the workplace, and we cannot only resist it using trade unions. We need to organise alliances of public service users, workers and working-class communities.
This session, introduced by Isabel Parrott (London Coalition Against Poverty) and Camille Barbagallo (Friends of Hackney Nurseries, p.c.), will look at the challenges and liberatory possibilities of community organising.
